In this Sammamish remodel, we used a cohesive design to blend and update the kitchen, living room, laundry room, and the entire main floor.
Our client craved an exquisite and well-lit modern space where the family could hang out and recharge. The client was also deeply inspired by a photo they had found showing a blue kitchen island.
BEFORE
The kitchen and main floor aesthetic of this project were largely built upon the vision of this stunning blue feature at the center of their kitchen.
The kitchen features classically veined white marble elements including a unique and intricate mosaic behind the range. Matte black pulls, lively pendant lights, and the beautiful blue island cabinetry add a charming contrast to the space.
From the very beginning, re-purposing the bulky pantry to a convenient and appealing beverage and serving zone became another must-have for the client. The pantry was soon replaced with a built-in refrigerator, perfect for entertaining and housing their wines.
In the original family room, the clients had no cabinetry and the space felt overly large and underutilized. We added built-in cabinetry to both sides of the room to add storage and establish a cozy feel. The fireplace wall was completely reconfigured to allow for the tv and media equipment. The resized and relocated window now adds natural light and a nice symmetry to the space.
Elements in the laundry room were redesigned and manipulated around for better floor use. A neutral yet eye-catching pentagonal tile covers the laundry room floor. The space feels bright and clean.
The powder room also received a face-lift with updated paint, cabinetry, and countertops. Throughout the remainder of the house, paint and flooring elements were touched up as well to provide continuity and flow throughout the home.
